Beaverton & the Portland Metro

Comfort,
crafted.

Furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits — installed and serviced by an owner-operator who does the work himself, as an authorized American Standard dealer. No commission salesmen. No upsell scripts. Just a system sized right and built to last an Oregon winter.

What we do

Every system, sized right.

Oregon homes ask a lot of a heating and cooling system — wet cold from November to March, dry heat and wildfire smoke in August, and long mild shoulder seasons in between. We build for all of it.

S / 01

Heat pump installation

Ducted and ductless American Standard systems, sized by Manual J load calculation rather than rule of thumb. We file your Energy Trust and federal rebate paperwork as part of the job.

S / 02

Air conditioning

Repair, replacement and new installs. Portland summers stopped being optional a decade ago. We service every major brand, and we tell you honestly when a repair beats a replacement.

S / 03

Furnace repair & install

Gas and electric. Diagnostics that find the real fault instead of replacing parts until it works. Emergency no-heat calls taken when we have the availability — call and we will tell you straight away whether we can get to you.

S / 04

Ductless mini-splits

The right answer for Portland's 1920–1980 housing stock — bungalows, foursquares and mid-century homes with no ductwork to work with. Room-by-room control, clean line-set routing, no butchered walls.

S / 05

Indoor air quality

Whole-home filtration, media cabinets and fresh-air ventilation. Built for wildfire smoke season, when a MERV-13 upgrade is the difference between staying home and leaving town.

S / 06

Maintenance plans

Two visits a year — one before cooling season, one before heating. Priority scheduling, no overtime rates, and a written record of your system's condition so nothing surprises you.

02

The equipment

Authorized dealer of
American Standard.

Climate Craftsmen is an authorized American Standard dealer. That means factory-backed equipment across the whole line — gas furnaces, air handlers, air conditioners, heat pumps and ductless systems — with dealer-direct access to genuine parts when something needs attention years down the road.

It also means we are not brand-agnostic by accident. We chose one manufacturer, we know its equipment thoroughly, and we stock and service it. Sizing, commissioning and troubleshooting all get better when the same person has installed the same platform a hundred times.

We still service every major brand on repair calls. When it comes to what we install, this is what we stand behind.

  • Gas furnaces, air handlers and complete matched systems
  • Air conditioners and ducted heat pumps
  • Ductless mini-splits for homes with no ductwork
  • Genuine factory replacement parts, dealer-direct
  • Manual J load calculation before any equipment is specified
  • Warranty registration filed for you inside the 60-day window
10 yrs
Registered limited parts warranty on American Standard equipment

American Standard's registered limited warranty runs ten years on parts when the system is registered within 60 days of installation — otherwise it drops to the five-year base warranty. That registration is the single most commonly missed step in this trade, so we file it for you and send you the confirmation. Parts only; labor is quoted separately.

$7,800
In stacked incentives available on a qualifying Oregon heat pump install

If a heat pump turns out to be the right answer for your home, Oregon stacks incentives more aggressively than almost any state — Energy Trust of Oregon rebates, PGE and Pacific Power utility incentives, and the federal 25C tax credit. We handle the paperwork. Actual amounts depend on your home, utility, income bracket and equipment, and we will give you the real number for your address before you commit to anything.

The craftsman

One name on the
truck. Mine.

Climate Craftsmen
Owner-operated · Beaverton, OR

Climate Craftsmen is a one-truck operation, and that is entirely on purpose. When you call, you get the person who will be standing in your crawlspace. When you get a quote, it comes from the person who has to make the install work — not from a salesman who leaves before the equipment arrives.

"We don't sell systems. We craft comfort."

The name holds two ideas together. Climate, because Oregon is in the middle of the biggest shift in home heating in fifty years, and heat pumps are the center of it. Craftsmen, because the Portland metro is full of houses built by people who cared how the work was done — and a mechanical system deserves the same standard as the millwork.

In practice that means load calculations instead of guesses, line sets run where they belong instead of the fastest path, condensate managed properly, and a written record of everything left behind. It costs more time. It's the reason the systems last.
